An evening of insightful conversations and a starting point for the future of gender health
The SSGH Kick-off event is our 2025 flagship event, bringing together individuals working in gender health or interested in this field: gender health experts, physicians, nurses, psychologists, students, politicians, policy makers, allies and others interested in shaping this field.
We will start the event with an introduction about the SSGH and an input talk about gender health.
During the panel discussion, which will be moderated by Peter Haerle, we will explore the question "From awareness to action: How can we bring gender-sensitive medicine to everyday healthcare?" with key stakeholders in the field:
- Prof. Dr. med Carolin Lerchenmüller: Associate Professor and Head of Chair for Gender Medicine at University of Zurich
- Dr. med Bettina Balmer: National Council member FDP Zurich and Pediatric Surgeon Children's hospital Zurich
- Dr. Peter Wolfensberger: Lecturer and Researcher for Psychiatric Nursing and LGBTQ+ Health at Bern University of Applied Sciences
- Prof. Dr. med Ute Seeland: Head of Chair Gender Medicine at the University of Magdeburg, President of the German Society and assoc. Board Member of the International Society for Gender-Specific Medicine
